The Pascal fight is a good match up and I think Pascal ends up beating Hopkins by decision. If Hopkins were to beat Pascal I don't think he retires. I think he'll look to face the winner of a possible Bute-Pavlik fight, especially if its Bute. Or even a third fight with Jermain Taylor if he does make a comeback.

If Hopkins moves to heavyweight he won't waste his time with fights against guys like Barrett, McCall, etc. and move straight to a big fight. He could face Haye but Haye runs right through Hopkins at this point. Another option at heavyweight for Hopkins could be Holyfield or maybe even Toney. There aren't too many guys Hopkins can fight at heavyweight that are going to bring big money and Hopkins has some chance at winning. He has absolutely zero chance against either Klitschko.

 

Hopkins is a special kind of fighter who will beat Jean Pascal and most possibly get that heavyweight title shot right away with no warm up hwt fight or hwt eliminator. Unfortunately, I believe Bernard may end his career busted up if he takes on a guy like Haye or even a Klit.
