    they where both right there in the same weight class at the same time with similar styles,

    canizales is a great fighter who reigned at bantam for years and barrera was just entering his prime beating future world champion eddie cook after reigning as the mexican bantam champion.

    to me this fight would have been huge! :admin

    i remember canizales coming to my hometown of sunderland and scraping past billy hardy on a split decision.a lot of people thought billy won.on the strength of his performance they gave billy a rematch in texas,but orlando settled the issue stopping billy in 8 rounds.
