    the first time i saw Burley i did see bait of RJJ in him but i think Burley is better rounded and a better boxer

    Obviously, Roy wasn't what you would call a technical fighter. He did a lot of things that would get the average fighter killed in the ring, but his athleticism made up for it. They did some things similar, like the wide right hook to the body and left hook up top. Charley was underratedly slick.

    thats right they was similar but different

    Jones more athletic
    Burley more Technical

    I agree and I think both have similarities with Archie Moore. If Jones used his jab more as he aged he would have done a bit better.

    Mayweather in another way is similar to Burley, ie when Burley uses backward movement to evade punches and times rights as opponents move in and he rolls punches in a similar way too

    Yes, I've always thought they had very fundamentally similar styles.

    Jones was probably more athletic/technical, but Burley was tougher and grittier.

    I believe Eddie Futch said the two had similar styles as well.
