Think about it if Wilder lose again to Fury.....that's it. He's out of the HW title picture for good. Fury could get all the belts and won't ever fight him again. If Wilder hangs around and Fury cleans out AJ, Fury might be open to a third fight by 2023 if there is nothing else in the division. AJ I believe will have to fight Uysk next. If he can get past that it will be a few fights with Fury. Then Wilder if he hasn't retired at that point.
I have serious doubts this fight happens in 2021. They are the same age so nobody is aging anyone out.
Joshua knocks Wilder out. He's just on a higher level skill wise. It would be hard for wilder to land his missile.
AJ fights Wilder scared without confidence he'd get sparked AJ needs confidence in his game...Ruiz totally ruined him The best he's boxed to date was the early close rounds against Wlad. Looked calm and focused. (nothing to lose?) Even against Pulev he looked so on edge & tight. Mentally bad.
AJ will be wary of Wilder's right hand, he knows he cannot sleep for a second, he will look to get him out of there early like Fury did
AJ beaten at least 6 fighters better than Wilder in Wlad, Povetkin, Whyte, Parker, Ruiz and Pulev. Wilder vs Martin would make a fairer fight and a tough one to call as both are very similar.
How does wilder get in a position to fight for a title again? if fury doesn’t give him the chance he’s got a long road back to contention.
I,d go for a wilder k/o. Wilders pretty quick on his feet and joshuas no fury. These guys like ruiz, wilder, ortiz, parker etc need to get back in the game. A fit Ruiz and wilder would give joshua hell. Parker who lets his hands go might have more luck and ortiz is still a good fighter. They,ve more chance than old pulev, takam and povetkin anyway and joshuas making a bit of a meal of them. Cant believe the oppertunity these guys have in the current heavyweight division and their all slacking off. Back to the point...cant see wilder not landing big at kne point and joshua lacks the skills to di what fury done with wilder...but who knows if he,ll ever come back the same.
Wilder is crap. Joshua's lukewarm performance against Pulev doesn't change my mind on the outcome at all.
btw, this fight could have happened long long long long ago. And it never happened. Nevertheless wilder had no problem in fighting fury. Didnt you wonder why? that's the answer for this thread. Even AJ thinks that wilder wins by ko.
Wilder is 4 years older and has ~20 more professional fights (many of them short, admittedly). He has perhaps already been aged out. But if he isn't, AJ would be much easier for him than Fury. AJ came out a little tentative against Pulev. Wilder can sense anything short of absolute confidence, and it fuels him like nothing else. AJ doesn't have a reach or height advantage, so if he wants to land anything Wilder will get a better chance than he ever did against Fury. I doubt it happens but if it did, and Wilder isn't shot, I think it would be a matchup where it's harder for AJ than his track record would suggest.
