Apparently Wilder didn’t beat the count in the Sconiers fight. Very protected.

Sorry but the 273lb/19.5stone/123 kg Kronk Fury is definately not a light hitter!
Sugar Hill Steward teached him a complete new punching technique and it worked. He never punched like that before.

He never was a real light hitter, he made Chisora quit because of his punches. He was the only guy who KOed Cunningham and also send Christian Hammer with one punch to the floor, and this guy has a good chin and can take something.

Warren believes Fury hits harder then AJ ("Fury beats AJ in ANY department)...i can just laugh about that!
But Fury is not light hitter, Chris Byrd was one.

AJ pre Ruiz 1 vs Wilder 2018/2019 would be a 50-50 thing imo, depending what would happen. Both man can win via stoppage, if it goes over the points then AJ wins for certain.

50-50 a year or two ago, now I'd favour Joshua.

Obviously you can never totally rule Wilder out but if I had to bet I'd go Joshua.

This match could be very different over the last few years.

Pre Wlad AJ was fearless, and so was Wilder. That one is probably just a shoot out. And I'd give Wilder the slight edge due to speed advantage.

Post Wlad AJ was somewhat gun shy. Wilder was still fearless. I'd give Wilder a genuine edge if that fight had been made then.

Post Ruiz I AJ would have lost to post Fury I Wilder.

Post Ruiz II AJ still seems cautious. Post Fury II Wilder we don't know yet. If Wilder has lost his fearlessness, I would give AJ the edge now. If Wilder isn't much different, I give Wilder the edge.

I used to think AJ would win by KO but now fancy Wilder to KO AJ. Provided he can overcome his demons and get back to form

I agree, if the recent version of AJ shows up, Wilder ices him with a right hand. If pre-Ruiz AJ shows up, I think it's a 50/50 fight.

The version of AJ that's coming forward looking to wreck shop, brining big right hands behind the jab and working rear uppercuts and hooks at mid range is bad news for Wilder. But even then he has to manage to avoid Wilder's right hand while robotically walking forward and if gun shy AJ wants to try and box at range with his head stuck on the centerline, Wilder detonates him.

I've never really rated Wilder as a boxer but, he can certainly be an effective fighter with that power he's got. Against Stiverne in their first fight, I was genuinely impressed even if Stiverne was never really true world level. He moved really well, utilised the jab well, didn't get too carried away with his own power and looked the complete package. Rather than carry that form forward and fight competitive opposition, he went on a defence spree of the who's who of contenders well OUTSIDE the top 15 and regressed because there was no real threat.

He's had umpteen hand, forearm and bicep operations and now the aura has gone and other top flight heavies can see how easily pressured and rag dolled he can be, he's not done but, he'll be very unlikely to hold a belt again in my humble opinion.

And Fury put a pretty comprehensive ass whooping on an apparently bulked up powerhouse and tossed him around with frightening ease.

If Joshua goes in with a positive mind set and he should given his apparent rejuvenation, he will crush a likely timid Wilder in no time at all and yes, Wilder fights with real fear A LOT, hence the windmilling desperation to dispatch a hurt opponent and smothering his work rather than stepping back and delivering a crushing, calculated final blow.

We all got on AJ's back after Ruiz 1 and to a lesser extent Ruiz 2 but, I'd argue that with all the excuses and conspiracy theories Wilder has come out with, his mental state is likely far worse. AJ got the rematch on within 6 months, Wilder us still whining like a little *****, not a good sign.

Also Joshua took on the WK's, Povetkins, Parkers and Pulevs of the world on half the fights it took Wilder to step up.
