What ?!?!? Have you ever boxed or even sparred before ? the right hand is carried high to parry the conventional jab with little to no effort.

Now I have that I have thought you something. I think you need to stay out of this debate.

Look stupid !! Floyd and Tony has beaten some of the worlds best fighters. "Worlds Best"!!!! this includes world class fighters with world class jabs..

Cotto and Oscar jab was much of a problem, it was their 10 to 15lb weight advantage.

In any case Floyd was able to shut both fighter Jab down.

Look cum stain. Beating someone doesn't mean that something doesn't give you problems.

Floyd beat Cotto and Oscar. That doesn't mean that their jabs didn't give him trouble.

Where is the right hand placed? On the chin. The whole point to the defense is to roll the punches off dumba$$, therefore better suited to handle power punches. The effort taken to roll off a jab makes is vulnerable to a jab (and straight punches in general.) THAT IS THE SHELL DEFENSE dummy. FACT. You CAN parry with the top hand, but it is NOT the primary function.

Jesus you are stupid. BTW have you won a world title? You keep talking about others having not sparred so you must be a world champ, right? Writing that sentence gives you no more credit than anyone else, despite what you think.

Did they win ? Did floyd figure out a way to shut both fighter jab down yes!!
    Problem solved ..

Two world class jabs taken away.. Beside you and another dumb ass was stating that the shell is useless against a good jab which untrue..
The shell was made just for that reason.. The style was invented for fighter who were slow of foot or up in age, to deal with fast fighter with good hands, against 3 basic punches !! Jab, left hook , right cross!

How effective and good a style truly is based on the practitioner !

They got tiered ? world class fighters tired ? How many 12 round fights have both of these fighter been in ? how many title fights have both fought ? Amateur fights ?

But now with all of their combined experience, you want to write it off that both fighter got tired !? Really!!!??

Is it not a coincidence that two world class fighter (champions) with world class jabs got tired and stop using their jab against Floyd ?

Fock how bizarre is that ?!?!?

You obviously haven't watched too many of Oscars or Cotto's fights then dip****.

No Oscar is one of the most famous gasser of all time. He had trouble with his gas tank when he was 26 much less 32.

I wouldn't call Cotto's jab top tier......its serviceable but its not great for a few reasons he's not long, and he doesn't have a whicked righthand behind it....Floyd didnt have to worry about a crushing overhand right just a predictable left hook....

Yeah right !! I guess the other fighters who fought floyd and stop using their jab got tired also huh??

You guys are a f*ing joke!

What a Cotto and Oscar got tired of was, getting counter and finding their jab being made ineffective!!!

If was parring and countering the jab, he was slipping it !! In any case, their main stay weapons where made worthless!!

It's not the length. It's the pop. It's not easy to parry a very solid jab.

Keep telling youself that cum stain. The cross guard is a very effective defense but it does have its weaknesses.

This is just boxing 101 and you are just a typical boxing dumbass.
