Buddy Baer may not have been as big a hitter as Foreman but he was a hard puncher. IMO it would be 50-50

Schmeling has a good chance too.

Buddy maybe, in fact he'd have a good chance, especially if gets Kenny early.

In a scenario where Norton from the first Ali fight repeatedly fight Louis' challengers one after another, I think Walcott is the only one who has a good chance. There's a few who could punch him out, as has been mentioned. Schmeling was the only one I was gonna go with, but I think he was too old by that point.

Charles doesn't really count, although it was a lineal title fight. I'd pick him over Ken.

That's the first time I've ever thought of Charles V Louis, with Charles being a challenger.
But thinking about it, lineal title, of course he is.
A similar situation as with Holmes V Ali and Tyson v Spinks.
So if we count Ezzard in there, being a title Challenger too, then yes George, I to pick him.
Tough fight for Ezz, but I'll say he gets a decision.

Jersey Joe Walcott and Max Schmelling would have the best chances. Even in their case, though,I would make it 50/50 shots.

I'm going to say something sacrilegious here. Abe Simon would beat him.
He would jab and grab and force Kenny to bear 255 lbs for round after round.
In the footage of the second Louis fight Abe does just that. He jabs and tries to close the distance to clinch before the referee forces them apart. Simon takes massive shots on the way in but his chin is made of something else. He later said he never felt pain and neither did he feel Joe's punches in their two fights.
The way Louis beat him in the second fight was to fight while backing up from Simon while counter punching simultaneously. It was combination of Louis's power and ability to back up that made short work of Abe, two attributes that Norton would sorely be lacking in.

So my question is, what is Norton going to do to stop hulking Abe from tanking Kenny's best, close in and force him to carry his weight for round after round?

Lou Nova and Buddy Baer would have been wrong for him.

To the people saying Norton who was nearly beaten by “Sugar” Young could beat Conn after seeing Louis v Conn… What?

Yes, I mean even if you assume a clean sweep against the boxers (highly unlikely), is he really going to manage a clean sweep against Galento, Nova, Baer Jr and Simon?

Of course his most dangerous opponent, is the twelve year time span of Louis's title reign.

That is something that practically no heavyweight in history, could have prevailed over.

Let's be clear: Schmeling mangles Norton.

Walcott of 47-48 might pull it off. Buddy Baer would have a punchers chance and Norton was vulnerable to big punchers. Max Schmeling and Norton would be a good fight.

I don't know. Buddy Baer probably hit as hard as Cooney and was just as big
