    There is absolutely no way Algieri won the last round.

    It's much easier to argue that Provodnikov didn't win a single round after the first than it is to claim that he won 4 of the remaining 11...

    Why aren't there more threads on amateur boxing on this site. Sure seems to be a lot of fans of that style.:lol:

    Well, if Bradley won that fifth rd in the first Pac fight, why couldn't Aligeri win too the last rd where he did next to nothing?

    yeh the last round was provodikovs but he still should have lost tight but still clear

    I disagree. You do get extra credit for making the fight. But only in closer rounds where there are breaks in the action.

    I make that off of this idea:

    If two counter punchers stepped into the ring and each said "I am a counter puncher, I REFUSE to lead with any punches", you wouldnt have a fight. When someone is the agressor they should automatically win the close rounds that didn't have much action.

    Now this fight was different, the agressor got hit a lot more than the person he was chasing and the action rate was high.
