Anyone noticing the lapses that we're having between big-ish fights this year? There's hardly been any consistency and to be honest, has felt like a pretty shitty year so far. We've got none of BoxNation's two cards a week, Sky has cut down to Hearn fighters only and HBO and Showtime haven't been doing much either. There's hardly anything to even talk about on here because there's so little fights being made. What do you guys think?

Amir is fighting in a couple of weeks through;),This year has been poor so far but that is the way it goes,2011 was good imo but 2010 was ****.
There are positves to be found for the rest of the year like Burns-Mitchell Martinez-Chavez and hopefully Froch-Kessler.I hope that allegedly can get his act together and put on some more decent shows, his stable has been on hold this summer because of the Haye-Chisora fight.

It has been very poor couple of months in all honesty in fact most year has been pretty poor, but things are looking up for next few months. Brook V Jones, Hope V Proska, Khan V Garcia, Haye V Chisora, Cloud V Pascal, Stieglitz V Abraham, Golovkin V Pirog, Sturm V Geale, Ward V Dawson, Martinez V Chavez JR all in next couple of months which will be **** hot

Absolutely agree , the sport at the top level is just way way too political , match making is becoming more and more difficult because fighters just don't want to take any risks , and promotional companies don't either

The current crop of talent in Britain is brimming , but none of them are fighting or out regularly enough , its plain and simple shocking !!!! , its a difficult period to be a boxing fan !!! :deal

Very very quiet weekend in my eyes, about 5 of these have happened so far this year. However, autumn is going to be the nuts.

agree with you 100% every one of them fights should be a cracking 50/50 or 60/40 scrap. the one im looking forword to most is the burns/mitchell fight:happy

We have all those cracking fights coming up and I've seen some enjoyable scraps Matthyse/Soto and Ortiz/Lopez wasn't that long ago both entertaining fights. Also kessler/Green, Mayweather/Cotto, Pac/Bradley, Froch/Bute, Huck/Ola, Crolla/Matthews, Cunningham/Hernandez were all good fights that have happened so far that I enjoyed.

It's a solid year so far, nothing special. Who knows maybe back end of the year will make it a good year.
