because witter is the most dangerous punching light welter of this century as well as being the fastest in terms of hand and foot speed, has the highest punch output, best connect percentage, hardest chin, and biggest heart... let's not forget he's as exciting as hell and has legions of fans... christ, that witter is a legend, after all he blasted out unbeaten giant killing knockout specialist master boxer vivian harris as well as beating all those other elites.

that probably explains why hatton is running from him

According to you and Ring magazine who have a history of corrupt ratings. Dont tell me you didnt know this. Facking hell!:gsg

Witter is only one of several belt-holders at 140.

Gavin Rees is the WBA champ and also from Britain. Dont tell me you didnt know this. Facking hell!:gsg

Why aren't you crying on his behalf as well?

    1. He was exposed as he was taken apart and knocked out in a way elite fighters were not against PBF. It wasn't even close.
    2. Nobody is shouting that Witter is better than Hatton.
    3. Yeah Witter never did enough to deserve a shot at Hatton, Wicky was far too busy with true challenges and household names like Vilches, Pedersen, Smith and so on. And in more recent times Urango and Collazo.

While Hatton was stopping Kostya Tszyu, Witter was fighting the likes of Colin Lynes and Andreas Kotelnik.

Who are the bigger "household names"....

Oliveira, Stewart, Tackie and Vince Phillips (some of Hatton's opponents in the last few years)
    - or -
Bienias, Kinuthia, Haeck and Lauri (some of Witters opponents in the same period)

2 guys 1 in his 40`s one approaching 40 1`s a journeyman and the others a club fighter.Witters comp equally isnt that much better as he faced Euro stiffs.Diffrence is the hype machine blew a whole lot of smoke up Ricky`s ass.Meanwhile Witter was just toiling trying to get his. Its utterly unfathomable how you clutch at the thin air.No one here is trying to defend Witters resume nor his comp.I couldnt care less wether he`d fought mother nature to get to Ricky. The bottom line is he is RICKYS number 1 challenger.Ricky is the champ.SO MAKE THE ****ING FIGHT and quit your whining and bull**** excuses.

Which you are now doing for Witter... but that's ok, right?

The guy I replied to was doing precisely that!

Has Hatton signed to fight someone else?

    Sure, I'll remind you.

Ring magazine are a bunch of journalists, many of whom are using Ring as a stepping-stone to their dream job covering NFL or NBA at Sports Illustrated. Their opinion does not count any more or less than anyone else's including mine or yours.

On top of that, it is a commercial business. They bow down to popular opinion, but just because an opinion is popular doesn't make it the truth.

Ring Magazine tells sheep like you what you want to hear so you will buy their rag.

The Ring DOES have a history of corrupt ratings. I assumed you had a bit of boxing knowledge - my mistake. Don King "bought" their ratings to promote a tournament he was organizing. Look it up.

Nowadays it's mainly just market forces. But having said that Ring magazine is owned by Golden Boy Enterprises....... you DID know that, right....?

Why do you think they crowned Vitali Champ? Because he beat Danny Williams?? Of course not! It was because he was "the people's champ". Ruiz and Byrd both had held the belts longer and had more impressive resumes. But the average casual fan is more likely to buy a magazine with Vitali's face on it, therefore he was the champ.
