I like the A, B, C grading system. There's this kind of grading system that's much longer and tedious: Example:

    Chad Dawson:

    Power: 7
    Speed: 10
    Defense: 8
    Footwork: 8
    Head Movement: 8
    Recoverability: 9
    Chin: 10
    Heart: 9
    Resume: 8
    etc.

    Score: 77

You do not want to go through that, unless you have too much time in your hands.

Exactly. Grades are universally relatable (except to kindergarten dropouts, I guess :conf) and easy to understand; perfect in their concision. The pluses and minuses also help further refine and keep it from becoming too broad while still allowing groupings in ranges. (F is terrible, D is poor below average with D- bordering on terrible and D+ bordering on average, C is average with C- bordering on poor and C+ bordering on fair-to-good; B is fair to good with B- bordering on average and B+ bordering on excellent; A is excellent with A- bordering on merely fair to good and A+ the absolute best possible...)
