I like the A, B, C grading system. There's this kind of grading system that's much longer and tedious: Example: Chad Dawson: Power: 7 Speed: 10 Defense: 8 Footwork: 8 Head Movement: 8 Recoverability: 9 Chin: 10 Heart: 9 Resume: 8 etc. Score: 77 You do not want to go through that, unless you have too much time in your hands.
Exactly. Grades are universally relatable (except to kindergarten dropouts, I guess :conf) and easy to understand; perfect in their concision. The pluses and minuses also help further refine and keep it from becoming too broad while still allowing groupings in ranges. (F is terrible, D is poor below average with D- bordering on terrible and D+ bordering on average, C is average with C- bordering on poor and C+ bordering on fair-to-good; B is fair to good with B- bordering on average and B+ bordering on excellent; A is excellent with A- bordering on merely fair to good and A+ the absolute best possible...)
