initially i thought 'nah' when i saw the thread title. I wouldn't pick moorer over frazier but he does seem like the most sensible choice.

Not even Michael Spinks, though he might last a round or two longer than Bob Foster did, LOL!

I don't think I could favor anybody to do it really.

The problem is that to beat a guy like Frazier, you need some sort of physical advantage to nullify him.

You probably need to be stronger than him physically.

I dont think a light heavyweight could beat Joe Frazier but a small heavyweight like Ezzard Charles,Billy Conn,Walcott,Tunney have a good chance. It may be too much for the 5'7 Langford to go head to head with Smoking Joe and Greb could steal a 4-6 rounded possibly as a light-heavy but too hard to stay alive for 10 rds. I dont think Archie has the style to keep Joe away for long and a breakdown similar to the Marciano fight would find Joe the winner after getting off the floor from a shart-shooting right hand

Langford could outbox Frazier if he wanted to. Head to head he could also out slug Frazier.

No other light heavy beats Frazier tho not even Archie moore

No natural 175 lb man could beat a prime Joe Frazier. Not even the best such as Moore and Jones.

Langford, a Qwai with heavyweight KO power in either fist certainly has the best shot ..

The smaller target may also pose a problem, considering the fighter would most likely be more mobile. Frazier's style is designed for fighting bigger men and the sacrifice of size for speed may not benefit him a whole deal.

    That's why I said small chance. :D

I think Roy was more athletic, and he would be landing, so he could even conceivably cause a lot of damage if he targeted Joe's eyes, especially his one good eye.

Also, I forgot to mention Conn as having a chance.

Just notice him in Bummy's post.
