Frazier has tremendous workrate and tenacity. He would be hard to outpoint for the entire top 10 of ATG heavyweights, many of whom have a size advantage over Frazier. In this match, it is Frazier who has the size advantage.

Besides all that, Frazier was not that hard to hit and Langford was a knockout artist. Not in a million years would his strategy be to outpoint Frazier, because it would be the wrong one.

His only chance to win is to spark Frazier out cold, and he would know it.

My choice would be Billy Conn too, since I don't think you can avoid engaging with Frazier entirely. You can't spend the entire fight on the backfoot, he'll eat you alive. Conn might be able to shine if he moves, stops, bursts out with combos and moves again, like Sugar Ray Leonard on his bike.

He could do all that before he crumbles lifelessly to the canvas.

I have Louis better overall than Frazier, but consider swarmers like Fraziers tend to do well against boxers. Louis did not like them by his own admission, & foolishly dehydrated himself to come in under 200 not to look like a bully vs. Conn. And still won.

Can't see prime Conn or Tunney winning. Tunney does not have the size of Ali, & however well he boxed, Frazier was quick & persistent enough to catch up with him eventually. I think prime Dempsey would have beat Tunney, & I would rate Frazier a little higher than him prime for prime.

You obviously don't know that size advantages do not help against Sam Langford he would laugh at frazier's 20 pound weight advantage.

Frazier has a high work rate but Langford has an even higher work rate and can sustain that activity for a longer amount of time.

Langford is quicker then frazier and hits harder with better punch precision.

His defence is superb with his elbows used to block body shots, a snappy jab to keep opponents off balance and excellent head movement. He is also probably the best parrier in boxing history.

I think Langford would knock joe out early but you're wrong to say it's his only option in the fight he was the best technical boxer of his era with Corbett/Tunney like ability but was versatile and could out slug sluggers.

Yes the man who Jack Johnson and Jack dempsey ducked would defeat joe Frazier

Few heavyweights beat him in his prime nevermind lightheavys lol. No lightheavy would beat frazier. Look what he did to bob foster lol. And hes elite at lightheavy. Spinks would get kod just like tyson did. Moorer no chance.
