Right now, the IBF is requiring the winner of Fury v. Usyk to first fight Filip Hrgovic (he's the mandatory) before any rematch takes place. Neither camp will be interested. Rather than pay step-aside money to Hrgovic's camp (an act which, coincidentally, requires a penalty of 150% of the sanctioning fee to be paid to the IBF) - the winner will simply toss the IBF belt in the trash. Jared Anderson is ranked #5 w/ the IBF, so this enables the IBF to order up a Hrgovic-Anderson title fight with a huge sanctioning fee paid for by TopRank.
