Duh *******. The thread says "HBO HYPE JOBS". And Lacy didn't fight on HBO til after the Calzaghe fight thust it was fight his "hype train" was derailed and he never had a great performance on HBO and was never hyped by HBO. *******.

losing to Barrera does not make you a hype job, you might as well call tyson a hypejob for his performance against douglas and what he did after, but you don't because their achievements previously highlight them to be world class boxers.

Anyway, i do think that your thread is worth talking about, but i disagree with your list. berto? you serious? talyor? the prince? arreola (ok well maybe actually) lacy, yup.

can't help but point out here how unprofessionally disappointed Lampley was with the outcome of the cotto margo fight - not saying either was OVERhyped, but cotto was and is sure hyped, but with good reason.

 

It's didn't get lost. It was out there after the fact.
