I take it you've read this book then? Otherwise your claim seems ****ing ridiculous.

Ill give some serious advice on this subject.

And i hope some on here and especially KLOMPTON doesnt get hurt by this advice.

Write a Book on a Fighter that is or has and Opponent or a Trainer that is still ALIVE.

Because at the end of the day your BOOK on Greb with no one to tell his story is Only Your Opinion on Harry Greb.

    Thats a Cold Hard Fact.

This doesn't make any sense. How is the opinion of a trainer or a boxer any more of a fact? Besides, I'm sure there will be plenty of opinions on Greb from boxers and trainers who saw him.

Is it just me or does darcy have absolutely nothing to do with this thread?

I, for one, would certainly buy such a book. Just like moyle's on langford and pollack's on hart i'm sure it will be very telling and will bring together a lot of the knowledge that exists out there.

I dont want to stop KLOMPTON's dreams at all but.

Theres two Books on Greb that i Know of and one was just released in 2009 why write and bring out another.

    Makes NO Sense.

Mate some more advice im wondering is there a book about the GReat Ezzard Charles and im not sure on this but i would say there would be a ton of people alive that you could interview that knew the man.

My Point to the posts above why write another book on Greb a Biography when one just came out in 2009.

    MAKES NO SENSE.

Who is going to Publish it.

He's writing another because 'The Fearless Harry Greb', which I thought was a fun and very good read, is not comprehensive enough.

He has a point, for top dollar, it was a rather easy read (which I guess is good), but very light weight and flimsy (in length and detail).

Klompton, don't let yourself get dragged into disputes over something so close to you as this body of work.. there is no question you are one of the top scholars of the sport and there is likely no one alive that knows Greb or his period better. However, you're like the gunman that many other gunslingers would love to notch on their belt ... thicken your skin for this one, surgically acknowledge only worthy posts from creditable guys and keep moving forward.

Find a very good editor, use Adam's 688 page Jeffries book as a prototype and get it out. Adam or Clay would likely be excellent fellas to ask specific publishing related questions. Consider reaching out to them.

I wish you good luck and am excited that you might be getting close. I can guarantee you I will be one of the very first to purchase it and I am sure it will be a treasure.

Immaturity may well be the authors undoing. Sledging, childish comments, very foul use of language or racial put downs and such. Creating arguement without substancially backing alegations towards other fighters. False claims, based as fact towards other fighters, many of in respect to person(s) actual location(s) at any given time frame. A tireless attempt at discrediting a boundless variety of authors. And so forth. The internet does not forget, but manifests with each iota of negative. Perish the words of haste Klompton. The book will do Greb a service.

my book wont be a love affair.

that being said there are actually more first hand accounts which state that greb broke tunneys nose with the first punch he threw right out of the gate. a right hand. i give equal play to both stories but even the few that intimate it might have been a headbutt which broke his nose arent that convincing. some say things like: they mixed it at close quarters and tunney came away bleeding. etc. like i said, modt state very clearly that greb roared at the bell landing a lazer like right that snapped tunneys head back and broke his nose.

dont worry guys. im not worried about the relatively few pzzies here (who are actually pariahs on their own forum as well). according to them we shouldnt right biographies on guys like abraham lincoln or napolean but at the same time we should take the words of a darcy bio as gospel.

Klompton, would this be your debut biography or have you written others previously?

Truth is always most incomprehendable. Especially gospel truth.
