http://mmajunkie.com/news/4248/more-money-than-meets-the-eye-in-the-ufc.mma It sounds like the UFC is one of the few mma org's that are turning a profit.
It proves what ive been saying the pay isnt nearly as bad as people think but it could and should be better.
at least by being with the UFC they get good exposure which leads them to good endorsement money. If you come to fight and put on a great show you get rewarded with bonuses....i wonder if Starnes got any bonuses in his last fight.
I don't like the "nights work" phrase... its not nights work rofl. How ******ed do you have to be to think that. As for the article yea its pretty obvious that you gona get more money in the UFC than anywhere else right now. Unless its individual offers.
Honestly if I were in the pros which might happen soon :hey Id probablly just try and go the Jeremy Horn or Sean Sherk rout and fight as much as possible like once a month which usually results in making more money then fighting 2-3 times for the UFC. Plus you get to build up your resume and stay active, sharp ETC.
If you become good and just beat the living crap out of your oponent you will make money. I agree that these guys should get more but it should be incentive base. I hate it when you pay to watch a good fight and you get a snore fest. I like how pride use to deduct your pay for inactivity.
Yes I miss that. They should take that into the UFC or deduct a point for someone like Kalib Starnes not even trying to fight or atleast warn guys to get things going.
I think this writer is telling half truths...Liddell made 9 mil last year?? GTFO lol..Its one to licks Danas ass or promote MMA (or UFC in this case) but cmon man
I don't honestly think it's a night's work as such- it's a turn of phrase.. ****ing phrase police up in here...atsch
Lole (the writer) didn't say what the top fighters on the ufc card received. And also we'd need to now the amount of revenues generated to determine how well they're being paid.
