Hussy Hussein v Silence Mabuza, IBO 118lbs title, Horden Pavilion on the 25th of Oct. Will be on Channel 10 is my mail Here's hoping my mail is accurate, it usually is. It's certainly promising... A decent undercard and the exposure of the fight game in Oz has the potential to hit the roof.
A real shot in the arm for local boxing if it is indeed true. Kegsy my man, have you heard of Hussy v Mabuza landing on a free to air show on Channel 10 in Oct? You are the man for all tv and ppv dates so if it's a goer you would know mate. I'l wait for clarification but it's fantastic news if it comes to fruition.
would of been nice if this was 5-7 years ago when hussy was a real chance at being a world title holder, and i dont mean ibo i mean a real title holder, who would of knew if he had more opportunity and chance to train with better fighter s and trainers he could of become a world champ unfortunately it is too late, although against mabuza i give him a decent shot....
This is great. Taking on Silence wont be easy. The man is still one of the harder hitters at bantem and seeing as Hussy is moving up, he better have his defence on game. Good to see this happen to hussy, p4p one of our best boxers pro and am for the last decade. He took on two extremely good boxers when he stepped up and showed his class against them, another time he probably would have bagged a title.
The talks are still in early days from wat i have been hearing. If it comes off its great news for Hussy. Hope he can cause the upset somehow but i fear he might get stopped.:deal
Good news for hussy if it does come off. He's been one of our better fighters of the last decade, very unlucky not to beat arce in their first fight.
Hussy has been a flyweight for something like eighteen years. Remarkable. The extra pounds may just bring out what's needed to capture the title. Kegsy, any more to add regarding this proposed card?
Very early days...his brother could make an appearance, Mabuza is a huge step up for Hussy...IMO far too big.
A boxer who has been active since the start of the 90's shouldnt have to be still taking steps up, poor bloke couldve done a lot better had he been promoted in the us
yes hussy and skinny look to be both on the card as they are fav.s with the South African influence with the promotion. Haven't heard but Billy Dib may not be as good a friend with them hahahaha
Really? I think you'll find there's a good chance Skinny is targeting a big fight in South Africa. Lenny Zap will be on the card and Kickett's name has been mentioned. We'll see what happens...
