Recently i have been researching some more obscure fighters 'Oakland' Billy Smith, Charley Affif etc....

And it is very interesting as these men are normally just footnotes to boxing history.

What i challenge you to do is take an 'obscure' fighter or footnote and research them and tell the rest of the forum abit about them, to help expand the knowledge. And get recognition to some worthy fighters who have probably never been discussed in detail on any forum.

    So anyone man enough?

Really GP? You're actually doing this? Are you finding many sources?

    OK.

I'll have a look. I'll be happy if I can provide you will a couple of paragraphs on someone 'obscure'.

Don't know who I'll go for yet......maybe Batista, the guy who vaguely impressed me in his loss to Zarate :good

Yeh, trying to track down Oakland Billy Smith but i've ended up also tryign to find out about him aswell. Theres alot of newspaper reports on Google also i have some footage fo him. Also JG has pointed me in the right direction of ne of his opponents Paul Andrews.

Also I was waiting for some sources abotu your Dad from you.

    You're a complete arse hole:lol:

Got there before me, oh,well at least I'm not the only person that found him impressive. I was starting to think I had low standards:D

EDIT: I'd even posted on it  Totally off-topic mind. Re-watched the fight a month or so ago and was impressed by how Batista looked. Tight, seemed to be solid, threw his shots well. Fought back as well as he can until he got broken down. Ruined, no doubt.

Look closely and you'll see that both GP and I pick Olivares to beat Zarate in that thread. Picks we've both since changed.
