He's not the greatest or anything, which is why I put him in the second post, but he's not that bad either, he could improve.

If it's strong GGG's biggest win wouldn't be Rubio.

Who says his best win is Rubio? According to you I thought that was Murray. See.:deal

(Constable was talking about Murray being a stiff opponent for GGG, and Scar got really mad because he didn't know what stiff meant.)

His best win was Murray but I see your point.

Triple G for him to get huge credit he needs to beat well known superstar caliber fighters like Canelo, Cotto, and guys who are known like Lara, Lemieux with skills that could maybe compete with Triple G.

Top guys like Lee, and BJS are not well known to maybe the general boxing fan who only watches HBO, Showtime, or the occasional fight on ESPN. Even guys Quillin, Jacobs would be good fights for Triple G to add to his resume, but they're not very popular, not highly rated, not known, or flawed in the eyes of many.

People hear about Ward and see a new animal for Triple G because it gets him out of his division and fights someone highly regarded for his elite skills, is bigger, with a great amateur background and having cleaned out his division. While not very popular, he to many fans is seen as a huge test for Triple G who has been steamrolling through all of his fights against fighters who people don't think highly of.

Lee (and to a lesser extent Quillin and Jacobs) are pretty well known in the NY area.

Lee would be a good future opponent for someone like Cotto or Golovkin at the Garden, I'd think.

NY maybe, but what about the rest of the country. They're not enough boxing fans in the US that care about watching those guys fight or even know who they are.

The same can be said of Lemieux, and to a bit of a lesser exent, Golovkin too.

But Lemieux is seen as one of those guys with the skills to trouble Golovkin, that's why there's at least interest. But yes you are correct, that's why this PPV while much better than Floyd-Berto will get only 300K.

I'm not seeing it, myself, but apparently you're not alone. Aside from having some pop paired with good hand speed, Golovkin is simply several cuts above. I honestly think Golovkin cuts through Lemieux 10x out of 10 in what amounts to a mismatch.

    EDIT:
I give Quillin and Lee better chances against Golovkin than Lemieux (albeit only marginally better), and I like Lemieux's chances against Quillin or Lee much better than his chances against Gennady.

I agree Triple G destroys him, but Lemieux is seen by a lot of people as the best Triple G has faced and has enough people supporting him in Canada, and NY to make the fight a PPV one, Though I don't think the PPV buys will be beyond 300K.

:goodAgree, styles make fights. David is a potential nightmare for Quillin and Lee.

That's almost as classic as the 'what the floored therm means' argument.
