Are you suggesting that because 1.Mauriello was Italian 2.
Fought out of his home town.He has a much better winning ratio than Oma ? I don't buy that, he has a better winning record because he was more dedicated to his career.

OMG, you dont like personal stuff but you make it hard, you dont seem to understand basic stuff and come up with your own delusions lol. Of course you dont buy it cos you dont understand it, it's simple.
Here let me 'splain slowly so you you might understand, usually in boxing when you see an unbeaten record it indicates somebody is taking the time to match the guy right. Moreso if the guy puts fan's in the seats, the promoter and matchmaker are not into killing the golden goose. Now here comes the hard part, cos he is Italian, Italians support their own. I did mention Mexican and Puerto Rican's how they support their fighters as a comparison. Italians were rabid fight fan's at the time and Mauriello fought his first 23 fights in the city, which had a huge Italian population, so he developed a fan base. a guy with a bad record, and who didnt fight in his hometown, couldnt develop a fanbase. You really dont have to "buy that", that you question it, is amazing, it's not that complicated. Oma's early record shows that he didnt have a fanbase so he had to fight wherever, Mauriello on the other hand could ride the subway to his fights, and even then you might not get it.
I really did try, not to get personal but your arguments leave a lot to be desired. Please, try to educate yourself on how professional boxing is conducted.

Exactly, but you do know a forum is for an exchange of ideas, and to discuss boxing, so if a statement is made that a person may not agree with they are welcome to respond and give their POV, like I said you are free to respond to mine.
