It’s simple Charlo elevated to another level that Castano just doesn’t have. In the first fight many said that was the best Castano but probably the worst Charlo. The second fight Charlo was sharp and did what he was supposed to do. No slight to Castano who performed damn good himself.
He had Covid and a biceps injury. He just wasn't at 100% fighting Charlo in the rematch. A fully fit and ready Castano beats the crap out of Jermel like he did in the first fight !
Castano’s defense was appallingly bad. I was actually offended and stopped paying attention to the fight just waiting for the end result. Even on the inside his glove would often be infront of his face like he’s trying to parry a jab, of course the hooks couldn’t miss.
I like to see Castano with RBG or Roach. He doesn't have major problems with technique, he just needs to work with someone who can shore up his openings.
