I agree 100% he has the power to make fights interesting but he has way to many flaws to compete effectively against the top tier, still an exciting fighter

You know I had dismissed Salido as a straight steroid cheat for testing positive after the Guerrero fight. But then I really looked into what really took place and something just seem odd. check it:

Before the fight with Guerrero, both fighters gave two urine samples as is customary when testing athletes. Afterwards one of the samples came out positive for some form of steroids. Salido protested and demanded that his sample "B" be tested, but with another lab. Sample "B" came out negative.

Now remember, both sample A and B were produced by salido at the sametime, same batch of ****. But one only came out positive. :huh

Salido protested, only to be told ( I think it was the IBF ) something along the lines of, " If you protest this you will not be allowed to fight for a year and a half, but if you accept the positive drug test result you can continue to fight with only some months of suspension with the fight being ruled a NC."

Salido has a family to feed and needs to stay active, He couldn't afford to take the year and a half off to clear his name. so he settled for the NC to continue fighting

    Pretty shady, huh?

But with all these fighters getting popped as of recent. I tend to believe most athletes are taking some form of PED and are guilty until proven innocent. But the situation with Salido is still shady.

If you want to straight dismiss him as a steroid cheat, I can totaly understand. I admit I usually don't give fighters the benifit of the doubt when failing a drug test but you got to admit this situation was shady the way it was handeld.

I won't argue about the steroid cheat part but if he had a glass jaw he would of stayed down and out, but he was able to recover and finish the Pinoy who proved to be the one with the real glass jaw. :good

yeah broner is skilled but indeed over hyped at this point in his career. I'm reserving judgement until he fights some real competition with out every advantage.

That story of the two points was a joke since he almost had the man out by then and if so then Mayweather should have been also deducted points in the Corrales fight or in the Gatti or in the Ortiz fight. Orlando style is difficult to fight against so he gets into a low position and a sort of a shell which delivers hard knocking overhand rights. One of these caught Gamboa who touched the canvas with his gloves and that is a knockdown too. This and the Salido-JuanMa Lopez fights go down to prove how much better Gamboa is concerning JuanMa.

Broner far more technically sound than Lopez, that said Gamboa is a great fighter and this was an awesome fight.

I'm a huge Gamboa fan, but that punch when Salido down was ridiculous, and it would be hard to argue against him being DQ'd for that. It was every bit as dirty and blatant as Abrahams shot against Dirrell.

You check his fight with JMM when they were both prime? Good technical 12-rounder.

Props to Salido for not taking the ***** route and start complaining trying to get a DQ like that punk Lorenzo did against Soto.

I understand but if he was "glassed jawed" he would of stayed down.
