He did. The second fight was impressive but I don't know how to weigh it because I can understand if Castillo was kind of done with the politics of Boxing in America. He got royally screwed vs Stevie Johnston in 2000 and then the first bout with Floyd. I think he realized it was about the paycheck and didn't train as hard the second time around.

He layed out his battle plan and executed it perfectly. He was done after the night of April 20th.

On a side note wanted to apologize about the comments last time. that was ****ed up I was a dickhead. Hope you accept.

He was done because you say so? Just because you think something doesn't make it true. All because he executed a good game plan vs Mayweather the first time and then didn't the second time.

Mayweather came in with a better game plan and uninjured as well. Castillo came to fight, and lost simple as that.

I don't think Castillo got royally screwed against Johnston..Stevie arguably won both of those fights and Jose got to keep the belt after both of those bouts anyway.

I've scored the Castillo-Floyd bout a draw twice..Think I watched one or two times on top of that. Close fight, Castillo might have deserved it a little more but hardly a massive robbery.

You do not take a title by losing a close decision.

    That is just common knowledge.

Mayweather won some rounds, but clearly lost the fight.

    Thats what I just said.

    Castillo won.

Sorta like admitting Lewis beat Holyfield.

Common knowledge at a certain point.

I mean what more could Castillo have done ? What less could floyd have done ?

Jose landed to the body and turned Floyd into slow version of himself taking nearly all the fights clean effective shots.

Castillo served as the aggressor and the accurate puncher and dictated the pace of the fight from Round 5 on.

Floyd had his worst fight in terms of ring generalship and had few if any answers for Castillo's aggression which was as surprise for a gifted counter puncher like Mayweather.

Floyd showed a beautiful chin but that is all I can take from this fight.

I don't think Floyd got hit to the body in his entire career as much as he did on this night.

As for the injury to the shoulder he complained of pain to his left shoulder but the problem he had was landing right hand power shots to keep Castillo honest.

Interesting to see the change in language used to describe the injury over the weeks following the fight.

Pretty sure it went from a serious rotator cuff injury straight after the fight, to a rotator cuff strain a couple of days later..to just a shoulder injury a week or so later.
Then Floyd was training with it like 2 months later.

Reckon Dr Mayweather got that one wrong.

This was not a robbery, I just rewatched the fight for confirmation and and scored it a draw.

I don't get what's the fascination with this fight. There was no robbery. It was a close fight. A case could be made for either fighter. I don't know if many people know this, but didn't Floyd have a should injury in training and during the fight?

I think the IMMEDIATE rematch showed that Floyd's claim of fighting with a injured shoulder was true. Since Castillo gave Floyd a hard time due to being a very good fighter and the injury, Floyd gave him an immediate rematch to show his critics wrong and beat him convincingly.
