Both the fighters mentioned had fights at welterweight before, the numbers and the scales don't lie. If those fights aren't welterweight fights then Pacquiao vs Cotto at 145 wasn't a welterweight fight and Pacquiao vs Margarito at 150 wasn't a Jr. Middleweight fight. Of course you would now argue that Wikipedia confirms those fights were at Welterweight and Jr. Middle so all is good?

Mayweather's first fight at middle weight was vs top 3 middle weight champ Oscar De La Hoya. At a time that Mayweather could have been fighting at Jr WW. But he does not receive credit for that instead Oscar was old.

Double standards! What is used as excuses for other fighters Mayweather doesn't even get credit for when he overcomes those same obstacles.

If the shoe was on the other foot and Mayweather was the young guy coming up in weight. People would be saying how Mayweather is cherry picking an older guy coming off a long lay off.
