Angulo is not much but definitely a bigger, hungrier and younger version of Baldomir!

Canelo lost to Floyd and got to build up again. Angulo is a good choice and it gonna be a good fight. If Canelo wins is he gonna fight a real dangerous opponent Lara, Martinez,Golovkin, Quillin ? or avoid it ?

Every loss is a crush to a stars' PPV. I don't think he loses to Angulo though.

Canelo is Elite and has no stamina issues????? And you're calling me kid? You are the clueless one. If you were smart you would realize that Canelo actually only fights for about 45 seconds a round... Why would that be? Look at him from round six on in the Mayweather fight ... He fought open mouthed... do you know what that means?

Why was Canelo wanting a new conditioning coach for the Mayweather fight? For fun?

Elite???? You don't know what the word means if you're calling Canelo elite. That is ridiculous.

with careful matchmaking canelo has four more fights at 154 before hes contender/journeyman status

the angulo that fought lara(70 punches/round), if he still exists, out lands and out throws canelo over 12 rounds

he probably doesnt exist and thats why this fights being made as opposed to the guys that kod angulo...erislandry lara and james kirkland both of whom would beat canelo

kudos to canelo and dlh for making this fight as opposed to molina who would have no chance of beating alvarez and the gbp judges

undercard ppv worthy yes headlining no. what trips me out is that people swear up and down that lara is the second coming yet angulo almost beat him and if it wasn't for the freak eye injury angulo would have beat lara and might have put him away. so yea i wouldn't count angulo out just yet, he is still a very dangerous opponent.

I know it's not based on momentum and that's obvious as well. I'm not sure how big of a star Alvarez is, even after the major success against Mayweather. In this case he's being fully tested in his very first solo PPV headline against someone who isn't famous enough and don't forget that both are coming off losses.

I wouldn't be surprised if Canelo vs Angulo is put on normal showtime and Maidana vs Broner II will be ppv.

There's no way Angulo will take the same kind of punishment that Margo took against Cotto. Angulo was weary of the right hands Cintron was throwing his way and that's why he lost that fight. I don't know why you think he will try to walk through everything Canelo will throw at him like Margo did with Cotto.:huh

As long as there are no huge guaranteed purse monies offered to Canelo and his upside is based on PPV sales this might float-but Showtime blew their brains out in 2013 and their bosses at CBS will be watching carefully. So far the only thing Espinosa at Sho has proven is how to spend money and still remain well behind HBO's subscription base.

I dont like that this is PPV but its going to be better than any Mayweather PPV and better than most of Pacquiao's fights

this will be competitive and interesting

only concern is that Angulos face caves in like Margaritos and we dont get much of a fight
