A lot of people talking about Fury v Wilder but

Were you "marking your words" that Wlad was going to beat Fury too? Because Wilder vs Povetkin on paper is a much closer fight than Wlad Fury was. Vegas would probably make Povetkin a narrow favorite.

 

Wlad - Fury 2 will happen before any possibility of Fury fighting Wilder.

Wilder/Fury won't be happening anytime soon, unless Wlad decides to retire and not pursue the rematch.

 

Don't be surprised if Wlads opts out of the rematch.

Wlads whole career is based on having a height and reach advantage. He's not going to learn inside fighting, head movement, or body puncing this late in his careeer. I think Wlad will realize this and forgo the rematch.

I pick fury over Wilder and Wilder over Povetkin.

 

Except historically he's struggled with smaller heavyweights more than big ones...... He did nothing last night, literally nothing. He was too cautious. Had a lot more to do with that than Fury's reach, skill etc.

 

A 6'3 heavyweight is a small heavyweight compared to Wlad. As long as he has a height snd reach advantage, which might be all but 2 of his professional fights, then he can impliment his style successfuly.

That style will never work against someone of furys stature and satisfactory skills.

 

Yeah keep telling yourself that, ignore reality all you want... But that's not his Achilles heel... It's pressure, usually from smaller men.

Povetkin will suffer a KO loss, because Wilder will not feel safe waiting for a decision Overseas.

Anybody who thinks Wilder will beat Povetkin is severely deluded and doesn't understand boxing.

Povetkin is good but drastically overrated on this board, period.

 

I never said Wilder's opponents were good. I don't think they are as bad as some people say, but not good.
