    The Havana Boxing Academy is where Cuba trains some of the best boxers in the world. Access is reserved to nine-year-old kids who stay at the center during their athletic training. Boxing is often the only escape route from poverty and destitution, but it also provides an opportunity to honor the power of the Cuban revolution on the world stage. Here, we follow the lives of three young aspiring Olympic champions over an eight month period of tough training.

    I saw it at film festival in LA, the first draft of it was up on youtube in quite a few pieces, but the original film should be coming out anytime this year, hopefully in March or April.

    its a must have DVD for boxing fans or boxing coaches who train kids.

    ....gotta point it out...as much as Cuba claims to be an integrated society why does Fidel put all the black kids in boxing gyms and baseball fields and all the white kids in science labs?

    ...that being said if Cubans could participate in pro boxing they'd probably clean out every single division lol

    I saw a great documentry on Cuban amateur fighters on HBO Latino. Don't know if any of you have seen it, but if they ever air it again it's worth the watch.
