he said he would be back on here to make me eat my words after i said Stevenson would KO him...
well it ended as most of us expected but i would just like to congratulate him on a decent performance in my eyes , he went over there and took on one of the most dangerous boxers on the planet at the moment and i dont think he was disgraced at all!he showed some decent glimpses and even caused Stevenson one or 2 brief problems but keeping out the way of that left hand for 12 rounds looks almost impossible at the moment.

Well done Bellew and there is no shame in getting beat by the better man as long as you give it a go ,which i thought he did.

gone up in my estimation as a fighter and deserves a bit more support from Hearn after his post match comments!

I honestly believed Tony Bellew could win, and placing a £200 on Saturday afternoon for a points win i was optimistic, and after watching the fight on a laptop in bed, and looking at my partner beside me sleeping quietly, i know it's the calm before the storm when she finds out which will probably be around Tuesday. Tony will come again, he took some big shots, came up short, but that's boxing for you.

He let Stevenson fight in his comfort zone. When he actually put some punches together, he gave Stevenson something to think about and even troubled him at one point but he was too cautious for me. Should have tried to impose himself more.

I guess the plan was to get him to the second half of the fight where Stevenson doesn't spend a lot of time and then put it on him.

Unfortunately boxing's about levels and Tony came up short. He has a world title in him, just a case of the right opportunity at the right time.

If this was the case, he should have made him work more and go to the body.

Stevenson was in his comfort zone, he could box at the pace all night.

its a lot easier said than done..Bellew was on a loser whatever way you look at it...he goes hell for leather and gets knocked out we say it was wrong...and he does what he did and he is accused of being wrong ....i think the way Stevenson was cautious was a tribute to how Bellew boxed

I'm not going to give Bellew much credit and i doubt he would want any, he lost every round in getting outclassed and got stopped/ and If any man deserves credit its Stevenson who for a dwarf did a good job on Bellew last night.

Bellew seems a good lad and tries his best though, doesn't deserve any stick as there's no shame in losing to the better fighter. LHW and CW have some good champions though so it wont be an easy task but i do wish him well.
