A Message To Carl Froch. How I Think You Could Beat Ward.

    Hi Carl

    My Stratagy on how to beat Andre Ward.

    Ill keep it short and sweet. Ward is a jab machine!

    He likes to let fighters control the pace and direction or the fight while jabbing constantly! He is one of the few the likes to jab to the body.

    To beat him let him control the pace and direction! He jabs ALOT less. When he is in control he likes to jab the body and is prone the the right over the top while he is on the way in. If you watch the Abraham fight thats the mistake he makes. High guard and trying to knock him out and Ward is just to slippery to walk onto any thing big.

    So let him control tempo and direction. Let him jab to the body and counter and he walk strait into it. Dont forget the upper cut :smile:

    I dont think you will ever win the decision against ward! the number of punches he throws is crazy but he is wide open to being knocked out just be patient.

    This fight kind of reminds me of Wladimir and Haye.

    Am i right in thinking that Ward is naturally left handed and a converted orthodox fighter?

    As the OP says, he throws a high number of jabs and i noticed in the Abraham fight that when he switched southpaw he was neglecting the jab and mainly throwing left hand leads.

    If he is left hand dominant, maybe that is something for Froch to exploit.

    But Rob McCracken knows a lot more than i do and i'm sure he will have the best possible gameplan to beat Ward

    One of these guys who lives and breathes boxing and apart from my family its my life.

    All jokes aside what you think? I honestly think it could work and I'm not silly i know he probably wont read it ever and if he did would never do it just my opinion.

    Style wise Ward is nearly unbeatable unless you knock him out! The number of punches the guy lands is crazy and even if the fight was in any one elses home town i fail to see how anybody could win a decision against this guy.

    He is a real slick boxer with a great work rate just lacks power to really upset some one with a chin like froch.

    I think there is a good chance Carl could read that post in all honesty. Example Tony Bellew seems to be a regular poster on the forum.

    As to your strategy as criminal as it sounds i've not seen all that much Ward if i'm honest. Everytime he has been on i've been out on the Jimmy Nail!

    Last time I saw Carl was when he took apart Glencoffe with consumate ease. At the same time he wasn't overly convincing.

    I'd love it if he beat Ward and then fought Kessler again. The former though I fear might be a bridge to far for Carl.

    there is going to be more to it than that, if froch does implement this game plan ward will adjust after 1 round

    Both Ward and Froch adjust effectively. Both are capable of upping their game and have a winners mentality. This should be an interesting fight.

    I read on ESB that someone wrote fight him ugly,push him to the ropes,lean on him and catch him going out rather than coming in,seems like a good idea as there's not a lot more Carl can do.....I hope Carl tags him I have a lot of respect for The Cobra......
