i don't really care for athlete worshiping. i do know that in a few years all the floyd fans will be disappointed with how he's talked about. only fighting megafights will be terrible for his legacy. does anyone even remember his name being spoken in his retirement?

 

You don't have to be a gym rat to want Floyd to get that snickering look knocked off his face. Guess what son, Floyd likes it when people hate his ass, it sells PPVs.

Your problem is that you made this blanket generalization about the people who hate Floyd and want to see him lose. Theres a big difference between not liking a fighter and not appreciating his skills. Your post is flawed at its core, you are dead wrong on most accounts...and thus can't be taken seriously. What is it with boxing fans? I'm no fan of Mayweather's attitude or outside the ring antics, but at least he has LEGITIMATE skill and fights within the rules. Ruiz is a talentless palooka with all the legitimate skill of high grade clubfighter - which is why he has to hold excessively and fake "low blows" to "win" fights.

Ruiz cheated his opponents and the fans alike. Mayweather, while not the most entertaining practioner of the sport, provides exhibitions of high level skill. Ruiz, on the other, provides neither entertainment nor skill, and he's a whiner to boot.
