Hopkins always liked to talk shít, while I wouldn't say he's at all racist, it wouldn't be accepted if it was the other way around, so somewhat double standards (for various reasons). Hopkins has great achievements but had a boring style. A great and passionate boxing character, though

What if a White fighter would yell with a hateful voice and widely opened eyes towards his Black opponent, that he would never lose to a "Black boy/man"?

In all seriousness, would they though? If they were fighting today, they'd probably be fighting at welter.

1 - Hopkins never fought Sosa?

2 - Hopkins never beat Allen comprehensively twice, once by easy KO, another by almost a shut out and the one NC he was up on all 3 judges score cards, what exactly about Allen getting dominated 3 times makes you doubt Hopkins here?

3 - Echols, first fight again was a near shut out, 2 judges only gave Echols 1 round and that was with a dislocated shoulder lol. 2nd fight Hopkins only lost 1 round before KOing Echols, it was foul filled and Echols had some success but he was never in control.

Hopkins would school Canelo like Mayweather did. We all know Canelo struggles with movers like Lara and Trout, but somehow he beats BHop, nah not a chance. Canelo is great playing the role of counter puncher vs the aggressor but when he has to chase he looks lost at times and BHop with his movement would dominate.

I give GGG a better chance at beating BHop he at least has a punchers chance especially if Hopkins gets drawn into a brawl which at times during his prime he could do. But even then I think he out boxes GGG. If Hopkins boxes, GGG might win 2-3 rounds tops.

I haven't read all of what you wrote, just a bit at the start but Hopkins wasn't ahead on all 3 judges cards in the first Allen fight.
    Why say he was?

with 3G stuck at 8/9 defences it underlines how good hopkins was.

BUT 3G isnt finished yet, dont write him off yet or you are a fool.

I love Hopkins but to be fair, that wasn't a very dominant period in the MW era when he was the kingpin. I still remember watching his fight live against Glen Johnson back in the late 90's; that version of Bernard was something else and IMO was him at the peak of his powers.

It's a dam shame that him and Roy didn't fight back in the late 90's when both men were still in their absolute primes. Even after beating Tito in late 2001, a fight between him and Roy would've been so big- the consensus #1 and # 2 P4P fighters at the time.

It was a dominant reign but he fought much bigger names (and arguably bigger legacy fights) in the later stage of his career.

Toney would have beaten both in his prime at middleweight.

Problem was that Strum should have fought Golovkin as his mandatory by at least november 2011 but he refused and tried to escape with the unification vs Geale.
Geale ducked him also until july 2014
