A more blatant historical duck than Canelo-GGG?

Personally I don't think either fighter really "ducked" the other, both guys pride just got in the way of constructive negotiations.

That's the one I first thought of. Granted Mayweather only ducked the Pacman for about 8 years,

Agree with your last statement. Canelos fanbase were "all aboard" for his 155 is my jam motto, but calling GGG into the ring, acting all hard and swearing...only to run to a smaller weight class and fight a guy no one has heard of simply emphasizes the ridiculousness. The fact most of his fans are Mexican probably adds to it because they admire Warrior mentality over slickness or speed, etc.

Bowe vs Lewis was really a duck because the fight never took place. SRL vs Pryor can be argued as a duck cause it never took place. You can argue who ducked who when it comes to Pac/Floyd but in the end it was not really
a duck cause they eventually met in the ring.

Canelo vs GGG negotiations hit some snags but the fight is still up in the air. Anyone calling this a "blatant duck" simply has their head up their ass.:deal
