And thanks, and cool! Look forward to seeing it! :good I use Premiere Pro CC - even though I pay for it, I never switched to using the two newer versions because this one has always done everything I needed. What are you using to edit?
:rofl:rofl:rofl:good Yes!!! YES! There was more than one song, with Larry lyrics, except that those were definitely a touch more professional than my tribute. I was dying when I put that part together and realized that! Did you see who I snuck in? :smoke
:good I do have another one already recorded. In fact, recorded before the Larry one. I just have to find time to film the episode that makes sense for it some time in the next week or so.
Nice video, the coolest thing is seeing him behind the wheel then, and then when he's older, the contrast. One of the last greats from the seventies. Him and Foreman. Its so cool they stuck around WAY past their primes to kick some young ass! I don't think any of todays guys will be doing that twenty yrs from now
In a sense. Even Big George, in jolly fashion, is often fond of retelling the tale, something to the effect: "Every year Larry Holmes escapes from his nursing home and challenges me to a fight. And every year, I have to come out of my nursing home and tell him no!" :smoke
I'm always fond of moments where aging athletes have moments of triumph, and in boxing, I've always been fond of guys like Larry, Big George, B-Hops, and Archie Moore for that very reason. Larry and George are two of my personal favorites!
I really wish the fight hand't fallen apart when it was signed in like 1999 or whatever it was. I think it would have been competitive, and I think those 2 had enough de facto history that it would have compelled them to take it to a level that may have made it a more entertaining s**** than many would have anticipated. But it never happened. :smoke
