It was a fascinating chess match and one of the best matches of the year.

You have zero understanding of the sport if you actually buy into the bull**** you just wrote about Ward and Kovalev.

Paul Smith's a former opponent of Ward's and there's also the little trifling matter of after their fight Ward returning his share of the money to Smith that was subtracted from Smith's purse by way of a fine for missing weight.

Smith's wife was heavily pregnant at the time so that extra money was most welcome. Part of the reason for Ward's uncharacteristic display of Christian goodwill might have something to do with the criticism he drew from some quarters in his previous fight when, just as had happened with Smith, Edwin Rodriguez was fined a percentage of his purse for missing the weight. Ward and his team tried to push for the commission to fine Rodriguez an additional whatever percentage it was (can't remember right now) on top of the initial fine and had he followed through with it Rodriguez would've ended up losing 40% of his purse. Now he earned about $1 mill IIRC but he has two sick children to care for so it wouldn't have been very Christian of Ward to stick to his guns about it. Ward was well aware that Rodriguez had two sick children to care for because he'd previously mentioned that he was familiar with Rodriguez's story and he described it as ''inspirational''. Both Rodriguez's children were born premature (they're twins) and they suffer from cerebral palsy.

That said, a member of Ward's team made sure to remind Smith to let everyone know about Ward's charitable gesture during the post-fight press conference lol

You're awfully fascinated with man on man love aren't you, first you do a thread about guys rooting for male fighters trying to imply we're homosexuals, and now you're accusing me of wanting to suck Kovalev's dick. I can almost guarantee you I'm way more pro-LGBT than you are, I even have gay friends, I'm as liberal as it comes on this subject, yet I spend waaaaaaay less time than you obsessing about other men's sexual proclivities, I have a feeling you're projecting.

Maybe you should find a new sport to follow if the idea of rooting for someone is that foreign to you, or at the very least seek some psychiatric help as to why you have no emotional connection to anything that you can't comprehend something that basic.

 

Tony Bellew (who scored Ward vs Kovalev a draw) has been tonguing his fellow Creed cast member Ward's sphincter for a while now and he's also been sticking his boot into Kovalev's (in a passive aggressive type way) for even longer.

He picked B-Hop to beat him, he probably picked Sillakh to do the same because I remember him waxing lyrical about how good Sillakh was in a thread on the British forum once. He rated Sillakh very highly. He's picked Stevenson to beat him if they ever do get it on too. And he had this thing in his head about Kovalev's management deliberately keeping Kovalev away from punchers, too.

I think Adonis stops Bernard Hopkins and I would also favor him over Kovalev at this point. If I’m wrong and Sergey can take a great shot then he, in my opinion, he is the best light heavyweight in the world.

'Kovalev vs Ward: Andre Ward is unbeatable at super-middle and light-heavyweight, says Tony Bellew

Tony Bellew believes no fighter can beat Andre Ward across the super-middleweight and light-heavyweight divisions.

Having dominated the super-middleweight ranks, Californian technician Ward recently moved up to the 175lbs division and will now face the WBA Super, WBO and IBF light-heavyweight world champion Sergey Kovalev in a blockbuster clash, live on Sky Sports.

Ward beat Carl Froch, Arthur Abraham, Mikkel Kessler and Chad Dawson on his way to being considered one of the pound-for-pound best, and victory over the Russian powerhouse would enhance his reputation further.

Despite the showdown with 'Krusher' marking just Ward's third fight at the higher weight, Bellew believes it is has little relevance when determining the outcome of the bout.

"Andre Ward is a master technician," WBC cruiserweight world champion Bellew told Sky Sports. "No fighter from super-middle to light-heavyweight can beat him.

"His up-close game is second to none and he can negate any power puncher in the business. To get inside you have to take some stuff to get there and that's always the danger, but Ward is clever enough to get in and make you pay, like in the Carl Froch fight.

"Going up in weight is no issue either. Ward has been a huge super-middleweight for a while now and those extra few pounds he has gained have no significance.

And if anyone thinks Paulie is ''unbiased'' when it comes to Ward they're utterly ******ed. He's been tonguing the kaka out of Ward's ass for a long time. He's about as unbiased towards Ward as he is to Floyd lol
