currently 10-0, 7KO featherweight, this guy comes from the 2008 Olympics.

Caught a peep of him on FSN the other day, vs Rodrigo Aranda, for his 10th fight. This d00d's punching speed is FAST! WHOA FAST, i mean. I mean faster than PBF's punch FAST. This d00d's arm whips out so fast, the TV framerate actually doesnt capture all of it sometimes. Sometimes his punches just disappear or flicker on TV - ive NEVER seen the like of it. He basically tracked down and headhunted a tall lanky mexican guy. Finally caught his opponent in the 6th and dropped him....

    Anyone else seen him?

I saw him. Very impressive handspeed, particularly for how coordinated he was with it. Things could still be difficult for him, given his dimensions and his lack of power, but the speed and coordination alone could take him pretty far.

lol, commentator said his handspeed was "Warpspeed" hahah

his guard seems to be pretty opened up... course he's a lefty so proned to get nailed by the right squarely if not very defensive. He could be more active slipping and rolling, which leads to even better offense....
That Lead Left is hella fast lol....

cant wait to see him when stepping up to better competition, like C to B level

I'd impressed with his fast hands, but I'd be even more impressed if he didn't have that stupid nickname "Mister"

I've seen him. Looked pretty good in his last fight. I think he's got the goods.

    2 questions?

Why was this a KO as opposed to a TKO?

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SI1Vi-JkZ7A[/ame]

Also, at about the 1 min, 10 sec mark: who is the white haired fellow on the left, in the black shirt?

I see him in the ring at so many fights? Please, no insults or derogatory remarks. I'm just curious as to who he is.

    Thanks in advance.

doesnt a ko only come about if the 10 count is reached if the ref waves it off its technically a TKO

True. A lot of times a true-blue "knockout" can be stolen from a victor if the ref doesn't feel like finishing the count (or if the dropped fighter beats it but is deemed unable to continue...instead of letting nature take its course and have him simply dropped again for the full ten).

At the end of the day it's the official's discretion and can't really be argued with. That's why they don't differentiate when announcing records - it's "X wins, Y by knockout (no distinction for technical or true-blue...or retirements, for that matter)".

sometimes the ref will make a final call and is sometimes wrong. Sometimes the ringside officials will ASSUME what the call is w/o asking the ref and have it announced, ive seen that. Whatever the case, the commission can review it and change it to the right call. TKO is the same as KO, numbers-wise, and doesnt really have any adverse affect on the fighter....

No idea who that dood is, could be a manager, promoter, trainers asst, owner of the building, VIP
