A new Sticky thread for MMA Forum? *The UFC Post-Card Next Fight Thread*!

    This is my idea for a new thread for us all to participate in after every UFC event, much like we dabble in the *Prediction League* before them.

    After every event, we all go through the main card and televised Preliminary card (if people want they can do the facebook Prelims as well, but I'm not going to bother myself), and choose who you would like for their next opponent.

    Also, you can stipulate if what kind of fight it would be, if indeed it falls into any of the following categories:

    - Title Shot
    - Title Shot Eliminator
    - Change Weight
    - Loser Gets Cut

    or of course, your ideal next move for the fighter could be:

    - Cut
    - Retire

    The only rules would be:

    - You can only choose ONE fighter for the guy's next opponent, although the 'Fighter A/Fighter B winner' is permitted, if you would like the guy to fight the winner of an upcoming scheduled fight

    - The prospective opponent you choose had to be signed to Zuffa, and available to fight (ie, not injured or suspended)


    Anyone who wants to participate can do so, but if this idea sinks without trace I won't take it personally! :lol:

    TBH Fella I think you nailed it
    Evans is self explanatory

    Tito and Nog would be a good battle, i.e. both past their best, but much up well, kinda like Chuck v Wandy

    I dont think we'll see Ebersole V Rory though. I think Ebersole will get Serra like he asked. And I think Mac is ready for a step up. Maybe Swick or Kampmann

    I think Hendricks could be in line for Akiyama (If he doesnt move down I can see him being cut), or maybe even MacDonald v Johnny

    And Gustaffson will get someone like Soszynski, or maybe even someone like Phil Davis, but mite be a tad bit early

    You think Swick is a step up from Ebersole at this point in time? I don't see it like that. Kampmann would be a good fight for MacDonald though, that's a good call. I think Vladdy would be a better test for Gustafsson than Soszynski would, I don't really rate the Pole/half-Pole.

    I do indeed. I think Ebersole should stick to the veterans of the division and Swick is a well rounded guy who can test Rory on the feet and the ground, something Ebersole cant, but beatable and is a bit of a name compared to Brian. He is a former contender after all

    I don't think there will be. I'm not trying to predict what Joe Silva will do in this thread, I'm putting forward the fights that I'd choose to make if I had Silva's job. I really enjoyed Barboza vs Pearson at UFC Rio, and thought it was a close fight and Pearson has asked for a rematch, so I'd like to see it again soon.
