What is the fight or fights that you find to be really impressive, in context? Gamboa? Horn? Kahn? It seems to me like Porter is really one of his most impressive nights.

No hate here...sell it to me. I put it out there that if him and Spence would get in the ring, the winner would be at or near the P4P top. Without that fight, I don't see it.

So sell it to me. Paint me a picture.

I don't think Crawford is p4p no.1 but I would say his best win was against Viktor Postol. Postol at his best was hard to beat and it was a very one sided fight for Crawford.

But does Postol really have that pedigree to where he is a king making fight?

    Just asking the questions, here.

Nope, I rate Crawford highly but there should be a few dudes above him p4p.

Usyk, Inoue, Loma, GGG, Beterbiev, Taylor. It depends how you rank p4p? On achievements take out Beterbiev but if you are talking pure talent, all the above are better than him, maybe take out Taylor.

Crawford belongs in the top 5 IMO but a win over Porter should not have moved him up in the rankings unless anyone had him below Spence.

Who ranks Crawford p4p #1? Not even ESPN as far as I know.

I really don’t understand these Taylor picks, especially based on achievements. They both became undisputed at 140, Crawford was also the champion at 135, and now a legitimate titlist at 147. Taylor has the better single win at 140 in a razor thin decision win over Prograis, but that’s enough to trump Crawford’s entire work at 135 and 147 which now includes a win over Porter? Makes no sense.

I don't rate him close to #1. Perhaps #5. His best win is Porter, a tough guy who never won the big one.
Bud has potential. He just hasn't used it by fighting the Khans and Brooks.

He stopped 8 boxers who had never been stopped before. I don't know how that compares to everyone else in these fantasy lists but I'm sure it's up there.

I can see the argument, even though I don't believe it.

I rate P4P primarily by achievements with some recency weight, but there is an element of the eye test too. Otherwise Inoue would be a standard belt holder with a good win and a few OK ones.

If you flipped that and only lightly weighted their schedule, no one can really do everything like Crawford does. He boxes, he punches, he pressures and counters, he switch hits. If he would just show us a cross guard he would have demonstated everything there is to do in the sport. He might be the best switch hitter since Marvin Hagler. Plus he just demonstrated that he can do all those things against a guy who's a human acid test, if it was all flash and no substance Porter would exposed that.

Also, a lot of people think Porter beat Spence. If you believe that, then why is Spence the superfight? He just stopped the real #1 PBC WW. What would he really prove by beating down Danny Garcia and Ugas?

I agree he’s not p4p #1 he doesn’t have those significant wins on his resume that would warrant that position.
