A novice question: Why does everyone hate Don King?

    I am very interested in boxing, however it has only been over the last few years that I have developed a major interest. I have watched all old classic fights and understand fighting styles etc.

    However one question I would like to know more about is why does everyone hate Don King?

    I've heard of scandals with Tyson etc but could somebody please explain in greater detal please?

    P.S - sorry for the novice question

    It comes down to race, don't get me wrong DK is not a good man BUT compared to Arum, he is a saint, Arum has been caught red-handed bribing The IBF sanctioning body, yet no one talks about how big a POS he is.

    Most posters hate him because you are supposed to hate him. He and Arum are supposedly the ONLY bad guys in boxing...

    He has ruined lives.
    He destroyed the HW division by locking everyone up.
    By destroying the HW division (Prestige Division) he almost destroyed boxing.
    He is a blac eye to boxing.

    Arum is doing the same thing in the WW division, and he is taking most of Pac's money.

    So I say they are equally scum.

    Arum never stomped a man to death, no doubt Arum is a robbing ******* too but fighters don't seem to be taking him to court as often as Kings fighters did.
