A Old School "training equipment"/"marketing ploy"

    did a google search for "Jack Dempsey Knockout" and saw this in the image section. Kind of like a tither ball, but attached to the head, lol. I could actually see it being of some use, although I also suspect a person would look like a total spastic hitting it. Anyhow, my guess is it was just a marketing thing mostly sold to a few non boxers.

    All truth be told, it's one many devices that would practice your hand eye coordination, peripheral vision and accuracy.

    I think Cotto's one cuban trainer had him doing this kind of **** as well.

    modern fighters though use small tennis balls rather than big tither balls. Hence showing the Superior evolution of hand eye coordination.

    when i saw that avert i was thinking to myself "didnt someone use to do something like that" was thinking it was cotto with a tennis ball, looked around on youtube, i couldnt find any with cotto but i found that mma thing and then i found Kostya.

    In Britain it was known as the Lenglen Shadow Ball. It was of big use for the "one and only" renowned boxing trainer Proffesor Newton. And sold for about 7 shillings in the 20's. It was said to enhance hand speed and hand-eye coordination.
