Before anyone says much Manny's not a good body puncher most of his knock outs come from the corner of the chin.Anyone who gets hit there goes down from Lennox Lewis to Miguel Cotto. That shot knocked out Ricky Hatton as well but will not land on Floyd Mayweather.

Floyd Mayweather has great defence and Manny will look to land that shot but it will not come. All Manny ever does is concentrate on that spot.Manny's movement is very predictable,he comes in a straight line then out,he doesnt have a good lateral movement so he's easy to figure out. This is the reason he lost more rounds to Marquez.

Floyd's difficult to figure out,he's firstly a defensive genius which means he can make you look like a fool even before the judges. He's a great body puncher and that's what takes the steam out of anyone.Manny's been knocked out twice by body shots and a body shot from Floyd will take away Manny's movement or knock him out.Once the movement is out it's target practice and an exhibition of boxing skills from Floyd the Great.

Floyd can clinch and fight on the inside and he can fight in a booth.Manny throws many shots but if a slow fighter like Cotto can duck 12 shots from Manny what will Floyd do?This is where Floyd will show his boxing mastery,he will duck all Manny's shots while delivering his own.Floyd can block a shot before it even has gathered momentum (ask Corley). Also dont forget even Roach has said Floyd is very difficult to hit. This fight wont go the distance,Roach will pull his fighter out in 6.This is another Gatti fight.

It takes more than one style to beat Floyd simple. You dont just come with a volume of punches expecting to overwhelm him.

Ask Marco Antonio Barrera because he was saying that the left hand was used to hit him in the body then goes to the headt at the same time. Seems like a fast hands then.

i totally agree with you......this site is supposed to be for true boxing fans......not the most exciting right now is the best guy site
looking at that fight again, manny looked like ****. he came in head first alot and when miguel moved...manny's inertia carried him into the ropes where he had to turn an watch cotto over his shoulder. he also did the one thing that bernard says that taylor does. when pac punches he drops and pulls back the opposite hand like if he was getting ready to shot a bow and arrow.
if cotto keep the pressure on pac this would be a different fight,
he'll if cotto had a half decent chin and some damn scupples to change his boxing style this would be a different fight.

Mayweather beats Pacquiao only if they fight.

    I disagree with the OP..

Southpaws with quick hands worry Floyd,
Go back and watch the first 4 rounds of the Zab Judah
fight, I think thats the blue print that Manny will be looking
to use - in order to really rock Mayweather early.

I look forward to this fight, because I can see Mayweather
having to let his hands go to in order to combat the
Pac mans onslaught, it will make things interesting if this
does happen - because Floyd used to throw great body
shots when he traded, early in his career.

Also, I think we will see Floyd really use his jab, he started
doing it against JMM, it would be another dimension to Mayweather
that would throw off any premeditated plans on how to fight
him - as Im sure Roach would be studying overtime.

    Pacquiao doesn't have Judah's timing or counter-punching

The only thing we know for sure is that over-the-hill, 36-year-old, 20 lbs. overweight Juan Manuel Marquez-es will never beat Floyd Mayweather.
