Up until recently I was a HUGE fan of Pac, and was really hoping he'd slap Floyd silly. I can't stand Floyd, with his low-life, ghetto mentality. Apart from being tasteless and crude, as in throwing cash up in the air in a night club (to prove WHAT?), he actually had the nerve to say that HBO was offering him a "slave contract". Oh yeah......paying him millions of dollars, when a lot of honest working men and women are barely getting by REALLY makes him a "slave". In short, I detest everything that a two-bit scum bag like maywether stands for. Pac, on the other hand, has always been a gentleman of the highest order. Polite, well-mannered, articulate, aware of what's happening in the real world, not just the low-life worlds boxing and rap music........the equation was ENTIRELY one-sided: Pac had everything going for him.....and mayweather was a street hustler with fast hands. 'Open and shut case. You may not LIKE that analysis....but that doesn't mean it's not true! Nothing has happened to change the above view, but as a result of this whole drug issue, I now DO believe that Pac has probably been using some sort of performance enhancing drug. If *I* were accused of cheating, and I knew I was innocent, I would simply take the test, beat the **** out of floyd, and laugh all the way to the bank. There is only one reason I would feign outrage, and throw my toys out of the crib.........if I were guilty. Guilty people ALWAYS get outraged when the finger is pointed at them...it's a natural, human-nature self defense mechanism. Innocent people inevitably say "That's bull****, and I can PROVE it".....which in this case would be done by taking a completely harmless and unobtrusive blood test that would have no....ZERO, effect on Pac's performance in the fight. As has been pointed out here before, Mosely (and many others) have passed urine tests who later turned out to be dirty. So Pac's insistence on only urine tests in the last 30 days before the fight simply stinks. Then too, Roach DOES have a history with regard to PEDs.....James Toney being the most notable example of a Roach fighter who turned out to be a regular steroid user. One error in logic that some may be making is to assume that because pac is willing to take the blood test a month before the fight, and then again after the fight, means that he couldn't benefit from PEDs if he snuck them into his training starting a month before the fight...but stopping in time that he'd show up clean in the post-fight blood test. This is simply untrue. If, for example, I use steroids for a few months while doing heavy weight training, the extra (synthetic) testosterone I'm putting in my system allows me to pack (no pun intended) on a lot of extra muscle...more than I could carry no matter HOW much lifting I did without steroids. If I stop using the roids today, I will gradually lose that extra muscle, even if I keep lifting weights, as my normal testosterone levels wouldn't be high enough to support that amount of muscle (which is why women can't get big muscles no matter HOW often they lift weights.......they don't have the testosterone, without which you just can't build muscle). Now......I could stop steroids today and have a fight and a test next week, and although I may test as clean because enough time would have passed for the steroids to clear out, most of the extra muscle would still be there, as it takes some time to gradually melt away in the absence of the extra "testosterone". l suspect that this is the problem that Pac faces. If he goes in completely clean....i.e., he uses no PEDs leading up to the fight, he wouldn't be the same fighter......assuming he has indeed been using PEDs in past fights. So he'd only have two choices (other than going in and getting killed because he was forced to fight mayweather with no help from PEDs), he could fake outrage and weasel out of the fight, or try to rig the testing in such a way as to allow him to get most of the benefits of PEDs while still being able to pass the blood test. So being free to take them for a few weeks, then stop for a week to let them clear from his system so he could still pass the post-fight test, would be the only logical option. It appears to me that pac is very likely dirty. NOBODY would walk away from $25mm++ just to avoid a pin ***** test that they knew they would pass. NOBODY. It all points to one conclusion......pac is dirty and has been cornered. He either has to fight clean....and he obviously thinks he'd lose if he does that......or walk away. What other conclusion could you reach, given the facts?
Great post man!! :happy I'm a fan of both fighters but I like Floyd more. It good that some people can give their opinions about this issue without resorting to name calling.
I'm a black man but I agree that Floyd needs to relax on the thug crap. No need to keep it real for the streets anymore. But he's still a great fighter and no one can take that away from him.
I cant find anything racist in that post at all. In fact the only racist comments made so far have been from you! A little over sensitive perhaps? Anyway..... Im not so sure about Pac making a cover-up. Lets remember, he has agreed to drug testing just not at random. The main point here is that if drug testers turn up and Pac isn't there it counts as a failed test rather than just a missed test and a failed test would look very bad indeed! This goes far beyond what a would be expected in normal fight and is just Mayweather trying to mess with Pacs head. If I were Pacquaio I'd be pissed off too. Im not a fan of either by the way.
Mentality has nothing to do with rascism, he could be white, black, asian even purple I don't think the poster is racist, he just doesn't like Mayweather's attitude. I hate when people like you start calling out other posters racists simply because he doesn't like ONE black fighter. It's not racism, it's a preference. Do you like all white fighters?
I don't like Paulie Malignaggi's attitude. I think he's arrogant, whiny, and loud-mouthed. He's a white fighter. I'm a white fighter. Holy ****, I'm racist against white people!
Funny. Critisize Floyd and you're a racist and a hater , who hates when black men are successful. What bull****. That would mean that if someone hates Floyd (who is certainly very hateable) they must hate Joe Louis, Muhammad Ali, and just about every elite American fighter since the 1960's. If that were true, there would be 100 boxing fans worldwide. Lets face it, Floyds talented, but acts stupid , says crazy stuff about elite fighters from the past (he's the only guy that was ever jealous of a corpse), has been blatently cherrypicking , and just put the kabosh on what would have been the best fight in the last ten years. I love Ali, Louis, Leonard, Hearns, Pryor and Hagler, but since I hate Floyd I'm a racist? How silly.
Like I have been saying since day 1.. **** Pac Vs. Mayweather!! Bring on Mayweather Vs. Berto/Mosley. Let Pac go into politics or leave him alone to pursue fighters his size.
While I dont agree with the poster calling the thread starter a racist, I can see where his veiw comes from. And its not as much about Floyd the fighter but the idea that Floyd a black man should be happy with whatever he is given. This is a touchy subject in the Black American community, the idea that we as black men have to be happy with what the white man allows us to be happy with. I dont think that is what the thread starter was meaning but its how it came off.
theres plenty of fights better than this one. I think its the fight with the most importance but stylistically Floyd is gonna make it a love fest by holding on. Altough I would like to see this fight I know its gonna turn out like the Floyd vs DLH fight.
you have some good points there fella but no need for second thoughts...its all hearsay. Manny is a proud man and a good sport, you'll see ! Keep the faith.Dont let one silly crackhead derail your train of thought.
Well reasoned post regarding Pacquiao. There are a lot of things about his continually changing reasons for not agreeing to the tests that simply lead one to wonder.
