A Pacquiao vs. Berto unification is much better than Margarito fight..

    It may happen.

I know Arum has a lot of backup plans should Pac lose. A fight back at WW against Berto could be one, or a gimme title against K9 at 154 or even a JMM III clash at 147.

I wouldn't mind seeing Berto fight Pac, Tony, or even Cotto. It's nothing personal, but the kid is not a world championship calibre fighter, and as soon as he steps in with someone who is, it is going to look an awful lot like an old fashioned WWF squash match.

Now that I think of it...I guess a unifying match would in a certain way be better than a match over Sergio Martinez' stripped title between a guy who hasnt fought at 154lbs before against a guy who's last fight was his first at 154 in years....at a catchweight of 151.

That's not a hate on Pac, that's just a hate on boxing's political bs.

Margarito is most certainly a bigger/better challenge. But I'd like to see Mayweather or Pacquiao fight Berto just because there is no reason on Earth Berto should be an undefeated WBC champion in the same division as either of those two guys. It's absurd. It offends my delicate sensibilities and ****.

Exactly! I mean what the hell is Berto doing with a world title at 147? Somebody should whip his ass and take it just on principle.

No way. A lot more money to be made with a Pac/AM bout and IMO, Margarito is a more dangerous opponent than Berto.

AM @ a catchweight of 151 or even @ 147 is a better fight than Pac v Berto.
