When there was a struggle to get a fight, it was not just me that made the boss man buy it - you all helped, every email and every text. It was a triumph for fans (we lost a couple).
I took the credit for all the wins!
I'm joking, I always gave you mob the credit.
I want to make this show return somewhere - I will keep you all in the loop.
    Thanks for all the campaigning.

    Adios.

First of all, best of luck to all the unfortunate people at Setanta now out of work, been there myself several times. I sincerely hope things go your way soon. Sometimes in life **** happens, but to paraphrase the great Rocky Balboa - life's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.

Whatever the future of televised boxing in Britain may hold, I think it's fair to say the lives of all us boxing fans has been greatly enriched over the past few years with Setanta and what they delivered to us.Thank you to each and every one of you responsible for delivering to our screens Calzaghe, Kessler, B-Hop, Cotto, Pac, Marquez, etc. It's been a great few years and we have benefitted greatly.

Buncey. Thank you big man. Most of what you did was above and beyond the call of duty for a TV pundit. You, along with your sidekick Andy Kerr, did something very important for British boxing - you made it belong to us, the fans. There are those who love you and those that don't, but I think it's fair to say we all appreciate all your efforts. Thank you.

Very classy thread. I too would like to say a massive thank you to everyone on the Setanta team; from the guys infront of our screens like Andy Kerr, Steve Bunce, Spencer Fearon et al to all of the countless others behind the scenes who truly put in so much effort to make us happy and give us what we wanted- I wish all other networks were the same.

You all really did do a fantastic job and you will be

missed. Thank you so much for all of the action we all enjoyed so much. The best of luck to all of those involved who are also, sadly, out of a job.

    :goodThanks again, Setanta.:good

sad day! i'm sure the boxing hour will find a new home, all the best buncey and us ESB soldiers will do everything possible to help

we can get the boxing hour back on somewhere, however i fear for the live boxing that setanta treated us with, can't see anyone else picking up the likes of marquez vs diaz let alone fights like darchinyan vs arce

I would say it's a case of 'you don't know how good it was until it's gone', but thats not true...

I had Bunces Boxing Hour on series link ready and thoroughly looked forward to an entertaining, informative show but with a loose friendly feel to it.:yep

The threadstarter hit the nail on the head concerning the amount of great fights and their undercards that have been shown in the last few years on Setanta and i'm sure we boxing fans will suffer with it's demise.:verysad

I as always a real casual boxing fan and bought setanta whilst pissed for the calzaghe vs Hopkins fight with the plan to end my subscription not long after.

Randomly flicking one day I came across the bunce boxing hour and I was hooked. I remember him saying that Marg vs Cotto would be an awesome fight (two fighters I'd never heard of) and of course he was right. I've watched every BBH since.

Thanks Setanta and Bunce for making me a huge boxing fan!

Couldn't have said it better myself.

I've enjoyed the enthusiasm, wackiness, controversy and knowledge of the Bunce hour. AK and Bunce have done themselves proud over the last few years.

Will be missed and I have a big gap in my Sky+ series link.

Bunce if an African taxi driver can get the chance to talk about something he knows nothing about on the BBC then I'm sure you'll get your chance.
