Loss to 34yr old Usyk Loss to Ruiz Win vs Ruiz (Ruiz struggled vs ancient Arreola and overrated Parker) Came in horrible shape.. Win vs old Pulev Win vs aging Povetkin Unattractive win vs negative, overrated Parker Win vs shopworn Takam Best win, life and death struggle vs 40 yr old Wlad, who took the foot off the throat is general consensus Martin - average boxer Brezeale - average boxer Molina - journeyman Whyte (on bonafide ***** street at one stage) What is his performance par excellence?
Pretty accuate Aj in a way is really lucky to get as far with no losses having said that his resume seems more colorful than wilder anf furys resume and im a fury fan. However i will say if otto wallin beats whytes ass all of a sudden furys resume looks better. Everything Fury has been saying over the years about Aj seem to be true.
And yet even with the pessimistic slant he still has more top level wins than most of the division. So if his resume is bad the rest of the division's resumes are stealing piles of garbage.
AJ was considered the top dog, so naturally we have to take them to task. Hence the hit-piece. And he just fought. Anyone can make a thread about Fury's resume. I'm sure it'll look shithouse with the pessimistic slant.
Sorry, but I don't think much of these type of threads. I thought AJ fought like a heavyweight champion last night and even though he lost to the better fighter he carried him self well. It's not like he came into the fight out of shape or quit in the ring. He was well prepared but got beat by an amazing, once in a lifetime fighter. No point in talking **** about him. He should nothing but class in defeat.
All correct except Wladimir Klitschko was 41. His record is full of absolute puddings (like everyone else's) but for some reason his is marketed as "deep" as if these names are any good. He has now been in two fifty-fifty bouts, winning one in a life and death tussle with an old man who was inactive and coming off a loss (in his home stadium), the other against a man inexperienced at heavyweight, losing. He even lost an ninety-ten matchup against Rice Pudding Jr, in which he was brutally battered and eventually gave up.
His performance against Wlad was pretty epic because I think those who watched the fight saw Wlad put on a very high level performance that night, better than many lackluster performances in his prime, and AJ had to really raise his level to win that fight. Apart from that I don't think there's any very notable performances that would make AJ stand out as a generationally special type of fighter. Though in all honesty I haven't seen ALL his fights.
