Moral lesson of this thread: there is actually no right or wrong, only right or left. It really just depends on where you're looking at.

Ricky - One of history's most dominant boxers in the light welter division who was arguably the no. 1 man in that division when Pac killed him almost literaly.
Oscar - One of history's best boxers in the welter division who tasted his most brutal defeat in that same division from a boxer who almost started at the lightest weight.
Diaz - Turned out to be Pac's toughest fight above 130 but was still able to win it in a spectacular fashion, very spectacularly actually.
Marquez and Barrera - Two of Mexico's greatest fighters ever but still lost to a still raw and one-dimensional Pac. Pac was so great a boxer that he didn't even need to win against great fighters by boxing.
Pac improved tremendously after the Marguez fight (which may be due to him being already comfortable at his fighting weight) but more importantly, he still shows a lot of potential for improvement.

Interesting...when you cut through all the red tape some could definitely make a case for your assessment.

Hatton was definitely not shot, he just resorted back to his normal style even before he got hit and he could of won the fight had he boxed intelligently so I think that this was a good win for Pacquiao although Freddie saw flaws in Hatton that we did not see, that is why so many people picked Hatton to beat Pacquiao because they were not yet convinced of how good Pacquiao was from beating a weight drained Oscar

I think going into the Oscar fight Pacquiao was supposed to lose, as this was supposed to be about Oscar but it ended up being about Pacquiao because of the weight drained performance.

The Diaz win was a good win for Pacquiao as he needed to get past Diaz to move onto bigger and better things but I think there were tougher opponents he could of fought so people could bring up a case for that

The fights with Juan Manuel Marquez were both close and taking away the knockdowns would of certainly of given Marquez victory but the fact is he won 1 and drew 1 and it was razor thin on the win

Barrera was slightly past his prime after being in so many wars so to deal with someone who fights at Pacquiao's pace would of been hard for him to keep up with but Barrera would still beat most fighters out there at the time I reckon so I dont discredit those victories.
