The fear of losing prompted Kessler to duck Miranda. Instead he has elected to chase a paper title that he can milk for greater profit overseas. True or False
He never ducked anyone.......don't believe all the strategic press cuttings you see The two management parties never agreed on contracts so it was all politics as is often the case in boxing
No. I don't think Kessler would duck anyone. He travelled half way around the world to fight someone in their own backyard and fought the greatest ever super midleweight in that persons own backyard. Like i have said before I just think Kessler is taking this fight to get a title thus giving him more bargaining leverage in the future when setting up fights with the other big boys in the division.
He fought Calzaghe in Wales and Mundine in Australia....no way does he duck Miranda in a neutral venue
he didnt duck miranda, after all the **** that miranda called him, i heard that kess offered to fight on neutral turf if he really wanted it and miranda turned him down so i dont believe kess ducked him one bit, why would he when he came to joes back yard in front of 55,000 pissed welsh and english to fight the very best of his generation in his weight class, and you say he ducked miranda still ahahahahahahahaha
In a certain sense, sure. Miranda might have put his lights out .. but, Mikkel would have gained some international attention if he could have handled the Columbian (as his nut-huggers repeatedly offer he could have done with one wooden shoe (lol - or is that the Dutch) tied behind his back) and won in convincing/dominating fashion. Fighting Joe Calzaghe isn't quite the same because Kessler was confident that no way in hell would Joe's feather dusting result in a (by) KO or TKO and the prize was the titles obviously. Fighting Miranda would be risky (no, not to his nuthuggers who claim he could beat Miranda's ass after eating seventy-five creme danishes) ... but a badass who just had a setback (a fight he surely thought he should have and could have won) might grab the short-cut to get back in the news (actually a brutal stoppage of Miranda would be a great advertisement for the man's career) and send a message that he barely lost to the unified champ and was taking no prisoners in getting back in position to force a rematch. But, he's apparently not that kind of badass .. lol .. he's more of a creme danish. So, yeah, in a certain sense, he didn't want to face Edison's right hand ... not a particularly large surprise .. but one that separates him from real fighting hearts and dominant athletes ...
No, he didn't. I don't believe they ever had anything agreed and I don't think it was Kessler's fought this fight didn't go ahead.
No, Kessler would destroy the much over hyped Miranda. Miranda has less technique and heart than Andrade.
Im well aware of who Im a fan of, I rooted for Kessler to beat Cal and couldnt wait for the Miranda fight but then he clearly ducked him. . . making all those absurd demands. I was very dissapointed - but Im not some blind fan who will defend ducking from him just cause Im a fan.
