Oscar should fight Margo if he has any self respect left and if he feels he cant compete at that level any more by all means he should retire. What do you guys think?

As an Oscar fan, I would personally like him to fight Margo or Cotto or Mora.. to me that would cement his legacy win or lose..

fighting pac man to me is all about the money... but unfortunatley its going to happen.. so I guess ODLH will be back next year as he will have to prove he is a great fighter not one ho goes after an easy win.. Pacman may surprise us though...

yea i rather see him fight margarito mora or even cotto as well. I think many others agree that a win or loss over margarito is better than a win or loss over pac. Nothin good can come out of a pacquiao fight except a huge pay day...i guess in a sense only pacquiao can come out with somethin good out of this if he wins, he'd be a lightweight that defeated a jr. middleweight. De la hoya on the other hand...win or lose, it doesnt make him look all that good.

yea, Cant argue that at all. I really haven't heard any REAL hardcore boxing fans say they want to see a pacquiao-dlh fight, most if not all think it's stupid and pointless. On the other hand, people who watch boxing only when its big/marquee names, they seem to be the ones pumpin this up. Like you said, they just care about the names.:verysad

I hope to hell Manny wins this fight. It would be such a backfire on the most evil, corrupt people in the sport (GBP).

It would serve Oscar right if Paq gave him a beating. It's not unprecedented that a smaller guy whips a big schmoe. Henry Armstrong was the Featherweight Champion, skipped over Lightweight, and gave Welterweight Champion Barney Ross a 15 round shellacking , just for one example. Charley Burley was so avoided that he often took on bigger guys to get work. And he usually won.
Judging by the way punchless, tiny Steve Forbes scuffed up Oscars face , Paq should be able to lay a hurting on the Golden Douche.

If the mexican public demanded it oscar would have no other choice but fight Marg but until it happens he'l always use it as an excuse. He wants no part of Marg, no ones made oscar really dig down deep & fight to win since the vargas fight. But how would Marg handle one of those left hooks. I'd luv to see it.

Oscar is a greedy ****, but I can guarantee you that if Pac surprises us all, Oscar will be back, as his massive EGO wont allow him to retire with a loss.

Why would Margarito insist on fighting DLH when everybody knows that he is out of shape. What kind of image will this generate for him. He better challenge PW or other active players in his division. If he is really cocky enough or sure of his abilities, why not challenge somebody in the higher divisions like what Manny is doing. Why stick to welterweight if they don't want him there? Go for the bigger boys to prove yourself and a bigger legacy.
At least Pacman is challenging bigger boys(who he knows he's got a chance). His fight with DLH is more of an exhibition for the fans whereas, a Margarito-DLH fight will be a fight with all the odds stacked in Tony's favor. What will that do to AM other than give him a fat paycheck?

Against Pacquaio, Oscar has nothing to gain and everything to lose. If he defeats a puffed up former Flyweight, So What?! But if he loses, He will be the laughingstock of Boxing!

Or at least go out with a guy his own size, Like maybe Mora? Another "Contender" In Los Angeles. At least that's respectable.
