A prime Jones would destroy Calzaghe

I think there are a lot of sore losers, and poor sportsmen who are crying like little bitches because their guy got beat.

 

of course he would have, thats not even worth talking about.this fight would have never been made if roy was still in his prime or fighting like it.

 

Roy Jones turned down a fight with Clazaghe when he was supposedly in his prime.

A prime Rjj would beat Calzaghe. Thats hardly a revelation.
But to say he'd destroy him is utterly bollocks!
It's wishfull thinking on from the Jones fans, they're getting that mixed up with proper analysis.

they just fought last night and that is all we have to go on. Calzaghe busted Jones up, mocked and taunted him like Jones used to do to the no hopers he fought like Frazier. Telesco, Kelly etc.

Roy Jones and his "Prime" might be the biggest myth and fraud in Boxing he was too busy fighting police officers, bartenders, and sanitation workers.

man, it's a bit embarrassing when i see other calzaghe fans say he'd have stood a good chance or even beaten a prime RJJ. the facts are simple, he doesn't.

Totally true. Calzaghe might try to say he beat a prime Hopkins. Hopkins changed his style throughout the years but the one he has now is probably his best as it utilizes all of his experience and smarts. He's not as explosive as he was early in his career but he's so crafty that it more than makes up for this. Roy on the other hand clearly declined and gained nothing in the process. The Trinidad fight gave a wrong impression to some people that he still had something in the tank but Tito shouldn't even be in the same ring with Jones. (not to mention he was also semi-retired)

Prime RJJ was something different entirely. Calzaghe wouldn't even probably survive the attack after that 1st knockdown.

 

I would Jones would probably win but he certainly wouldnt destroy Calzaghe.
