Floyd would beat the **** out of both of them

Hm, I think that Floyd would be able to position his body in such a way to completely render Williams punches ineffective, while also preventing him to clinch Floyd up on the inside, where he would be countering every other shot Williams threw. Paul was way too wide open, and telegraphed his punches.

Floyd doesn't have to throw more than 40-45 punches a round to easily win the round due to so many shots landing cleanly, especially on a guy who leaves himself open like Paul.

I also think that a few well placed body shots would do wonders in cutting Williams work rate down.

Not even the most liberal of judges who favors aggressive, come forward boxers would be able to give majority of hte rounds to Willliams.

I DO think that Williams would have been bale to bring hte best out of Floyd, and make him work hard for 3 minutes of every round, over 12 rounds. If he didn't stop Williams.

Pwilly learned from the Quintana fight he's better of just fighting aggressively rather than box. I think Pwilly would of deserved a decision win or draw, but gets robbed. Only if the counterpuncher has enough power to slowdown a volume or pressure puncher will he be effective. If they can't slowem down, they just going to keep punching.

Im sorry but if nobody thinks that Williams rain of punches and height would make for a nightmare for Floyd. Williams has never failed to land his fair share of punches on every fighter he has fought. Williams with his reach and constant rain of punches he'd be able to land his slapping right hook and left hand up the middle enough in the fight to make Floyd have to throw more himself and thus leaving himself open. Plus Floyd will always be in Williams range so pot shotting won't be easy and walking him down would be even harder.

interesting style match ups, williams had hight and reach advantage as well as being a volume puncher, margo was a beast who through alot and had a cast iron chin to add the pressure up, vernon forest & winky wright would also give mayweather problems, the philly shell is suseptable to a jab and move/rangy fighter.

Slick had nothing to do with it. It was Williams being wide open for that southpaw over hand left and Quintana never stopped throwing it.

Well you don't win fights by blocking shots with your jaw.

While I believe he would have brought a great performance out of Floyd he's hit way too much to believe he would win a decision against Floyd. A fight I would have loved to see.

That's what is so sad about floyd imo: he probably would have beaten both those guys (and pac as well) but he didn't make the fights happen.

Its a simple question, cans Williams inaccurate, iron chin, volume punching overwhelm Mayweather? or can Mayweathers boxing ability overwhelm Williams?

There is absolutely no reason to believe the former and every reason to believe the later. Ive seen Williams get outboxed twice over 12 rds each. Ive never seen Mayweather loose to an inaccurate volume puncher.

it would be competitive, but Floyd would still come out on top via decision
